The Caddy Cross has been dressed up to look like an SUV. Luckily it will also offer the option of all-wheel drive.
Volkswagen has revealed the Angry version of
its Caddy van. The special edition Caddy Cross will be shown for the
first time at the IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Hanover later this
month.
The show vehicle
sports a rather striking hue of Viper Green exterior paint, along with
17-inch 'Canyon' alloy wheels, a black body kit, silver roof rails and
the obligatory raised suspension.
However,
unlike the Angry Polo, the Caddy Cross is not just a pretend
off-roader. When it goes into production early next year, VW says it
will offer the option of 4Motion all wheel drive. This Caddy also has
undercarriage guards.
The
company promises a wide selection of engines and although these haven't
been announced yet, expect it to mirror the regular Caddy models in
offering VW's 2-litre TDI turbodiesel with output levels of 81kW and
103kW.
Inside, the Caddy Cross show car boasts a two-tone front seat design with contrasting inserts on the door panels.
