Court Backs Google versus Microsoft

MANNHEIM, Germany—The Mannheim Regional Court in Germany Friday ruled that Google Inc.'s Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. division doesn't infringe on a patent held by Microsoft Corp.
The lawsuit concerned a radio interface patent, which makes the use of many applications easier for consumers. Microsoft can appeal the decision, but wouldn't comment if it will.
