WNU Editor: I have written extensively about Stanislav Petrov over the years .... even trying to meet the man about ten years ago .... but at that time he was not in the mood to meet anyone. It is good to see that the recognition that he so richly deserves is now happening to him .... because he truly did save the world on September 26, 1983. The BBC have just released a podcast on this unremarkable .... but very remarkable man .... Could This Man Have Saved the World? (BBC).
