WNU Editor: The AP is predicting hard times for Cuba in 2017 .... Cuban President Raul Castro faces deep problems in 2017 (AP). What's my take .... I agree. The end of the Venezuelan oil subsidy has got to hurt, but it is going to be offset by the boom in the tourism trade and money transfers from Cuban Americans to family members in Cuba. But Cuba needs tens of billions in new infrastructure and the proper management skills to handle it .... and it does not have it. As long as the electrical grid works only sporadically, and their communications grid is limited .... Cuba will always be a poor country that thinks it is rich.
